Trip 2 of 2021 and off we went to Ayr and Stranraer. We met at Ayr ice rink for a lovely lunch then a practice game of curling in the afternoon and a fantastic evening out at the golf club, with a wee sing-song in the hotel room to follow. Thanks to our local member Mara and the team at Ayr curling for a fantastic start to our trip.
Breakfast the next day at Gro (decorated for Halloween) before we made our way to Stranraer, with a wee stop to wave to Ailsa Craig.
We held a mini competition at Stranraer over the weekend.. A great time was had by all with much curling and socialising, including a Saturday night disco. Thanks so much to Gail and the North West Castle Hotel for looking after us so well, to our local member Pam for the coordination and to the local curlers who joined us and gave us a great weekend.
It's great to be out and about again.
