Curling at Kettle

Day 13 Saturday 29 October 2022

Having been told rink 1 and rink 5 at Kettle were challenging, the Scottish Tour dealt with them well. In the morning session, they came out 24 shots ahead of the USA. The shot of the day went to Janine Wilson, who, on the last shot of the eighth end, was lying game against and produced an angle raised takeout to take the opposition’s stone off the button and win by 4 shots.

The afternoon session was closer games, as the ice changed, but the Scottish Tourists came out one shot ahead. At night, we all descended on Tracey and Brian Lawless in Milwaukee, who hosted a pizza party for the Tour.

Entertainment was provided by Steve Keith, Piper, as well as Courier, Donna Pearson, on piano and our own Anne Shaw on violin, with the rest of the guests singing along.

A good night was had by all.
