Day 20 - 5 November
After waking up to a beautiful view and sunrise, we travelled to Belfast Curling Club where we were welcomed with another fantastic broom arch and a fiddler playing. Following a light breakfast we were piped onto the ice by two pipers and a drummer. An amazing experience with a dram for all.
All teams enjoyed their games and had great fun on the ice. Those with byes were taken by hosts into Belfast to see the sights, walk along the harbour front and see the farmers market. One team also managed to find time to visit Camden, another lovely town. Our lovely sunny weather continued.
Our evening reception and dinner was at the club. A tremendous evening of great food and great company. Maine State Senator Chip Curry, on behalf of the Main State Legislature, handed over a proclamation to Tour captain Shirley, who proudly accepted it on behalf of the tour.
The evening finished off with a fantastic music session by Planet Pan, a very energetic group of high school students playing steel drums. Everyone was up dancing and a fantastic time was had by all with everyone wanting just one more dance. The band was awesome.
