Garden of the Gods

Day 6 - Saturday 22 October 2022.

Beautiful sunshine for a full day of sightseeing at the Garden of the Gods, in Colorado Springs. This is a natural formation of remarkable sandstone monuments and artwork. Located at the base of Pikes Peak, this National Natural Landmark and popular park also featured rock climbing, nature trails and the visitor centre. We were guided by Miss Kitty who brought the tour alive.

After lunch at the excellent Golden Bee, we visited the impressive United States Olympic Center. We were all blown away with the facilities here. Our tour guide Anne King led us through the extensive training center and was very informative. We wish her well at the next Olympic Games in Paris

After a fantastic day the tourists partook in an obligatory afternoon class, on the journey back to their various home hosts in Denver
