It's the start of the new curling season and we are back on the ice with our fingers crossed for a normal season.
While disappointed that the 2022 tour has been postponed to later in the year, we are all remaining positive and looking forward to a year or so of fun in the build up to the main event.
Our first outing this season was to Curl Aberdeen where 18 of the 20 tourists were in attendance. Our thanks to the local Aberdeen Ladies for coming along to make up our teams and provide an additional rink - and thanks also to our local Aberdeen girls Alison and Fiona for all their work in organising a great day out.
It was so good to return to socialising in person and to curl without any real restriction. There was much chatter, trying on of kit, some really good curling and some very tasty baked potatos.
Congratulations to the winners on the day - Captain Shirley and Diane from Team Coruisk helped out by Kay and Marion from Aberdeen.
We are all looking forward to our next outing in Ayr and Stranraer in less than a fortnight.
